Oakway proposed the following solution:
Survey and Analysis: Oakway conducted surveys of the extension and the offsite storage facility to understand the current setup and requirements.
Bespoke Pallet Identification: We identified that the client was using bespoke pallets, 1600mm deep with slots to fit a 900mm deep frame.
Design Meetings: Our team held several face-to-face design meetings with the client, using our in-house CAD service to create drawings to illustrate various options.
Consultation and Planning: Oakway provided an in-depth analysis of the clients requirements and designed a storage solution that would meet the current need, but provide space for future business growth and expansion.
Installed frames at 7m and 8m high, despite current fork lift trucks only reaching 4.5m.
This enabled future adjustments for narrow aisle fork lift trucks with an 8m reach when the coating line is installed.
Installed 800mm bespoke row spacers on double runs to accommodate bespoke pallets.
Provided a future-proof solution, saving money and ensuring long-term operational efficiency.
